American Film Composer Paul Kelly has been composing music for over twenty years. His feature film credits include Oliver Stone’s blockbuster motion picture Any Given Sunday (including "Inches Speech") by Tony D 'Amato played Al Pacino among other scenes, and controversial documentary Comandante. Most recently, his music has blanketed such films as the Oscar nominated short film, Everything In This Country Must, as well as the gut-busting NBC Sports' telecast Ironman Triathlon World Championship. Kelly's dark-edged music tends to find it's way into dramatic, suspenseful, and, more often than not, twisted or disturbing on-screen moments. A New York-based commercial film editor/studio musician, Kelly has self-produced two CDs: Soundings in Film and Buzz. A third release is currently in the mastering stages and will be out soon. Prior to finding its way into feature films, Kelly's material was used in commercial spots for such clients as Calvin Klein and Miller Beer. Originally from Connecticut, Kelly has an eclectic background. He spent two years in New York City working in commercial production before moving to Los Angeles. After a few years working in television production, Kelly moved into post-production and eventually relocated back to New York City. |
